The more adventurous of you may wish to hire a day boat and explore The Broads for yourself. There are a number of routes to try which pass interesting places to visit as well as the opportunity for the occasional pub lunch or refreshment stop.
If you like the look of the water sports then why not try them out for yourself at Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre, where a range of activities are available including canoeing and sailing under safe tuition.
You don’t have to take to the water to enjoy The Broads and waterways. There are a number of parks, walks and cycling routes each with stunning and unique views across The Broads where you can observe water sports, sailing and a range of wildlife and birds. Anglers are also well catered for whether it be river or beach fishing you are looking for.
If you are seeking thrills on the water then Coastal Voyager at Southwold is must! Providing short, high-speed trips around Sole Bay, Southwold, to longer full day trips, Coastal Voyager is an experience not to be missed.
The Heritage Quay mooring site in Lowestoft has an ever-changing programme visiting vessels. Past visits included The ‘Excelsior’ LT472 and the Tall Ship ‘Mercedes’.
For those visiting the area by boat there are a number of harbours, marina ‘s and moorings available that offer excellent facilities and within easy reach of amenities.
